Halloween is a fun holiday to celebrate, but it can also be a dangerous time to drive since children are trick or treating. Follow these tips to help ensure safe driving on Halloween.
Residential streets are filled with children walking
from house to house and potentially crossing the streets in search of candy.
Keep your headlights on at all times of the day to allow you to see the people
around you and allow children to better notice your vehicle.
under the speed limit
Drive slower than the posted speed limit
during Halloween, especially when you drive in neighborhoods. Children can
quickly cross streets without much warning, so drive slow to increase your
response time and stop when necessary.
pass stopped vehicles
Vehicles stopped on the sides of streets are
likely dropping off or picking up children. Do not pass a vehicle if you see
anyone near it, and be sure to give the vehicle ample time before you attempt
to pass it.
If you see a reckless or drunk driver, immediately alert law enforcement. Try to catch the vehicle’s license plate or its model and color if you can. We at Curry Auto Center wish you and your family a safe drive on Halloween. Before heading out, stop by our dealership for any necessary service.
Over the past few years, Buick has made updates to popular SUVs, like the Buick Envision. With its recent changes, Buick improved in overall quality, as demonstrated by J.D. Power’s latest quality study, and outshined other automakers.
There’s no doubt that virtually all automakers have made
steady improvements in areas, such as connectivity and driver-assistive safety
features. Buick, in particular, has added some impressive technology features
to the newest models in its lineups. However, while new connectivity technology
is a great thing, traditional vehicle functions are still important to the overall
vehicle quality. With its higher J.D. Power ranking, Buick is proving that its
vehicles have a great balance between innovative tech and dependable
The J.D. Power study is based on surveys given to new
vehicle lessees or owners, who have had their vehicles for 90 days. The study
asked drivers 233 questions in eight different categories and covered
everything from minor problems, like Bluetooth® connectivity, to major
problems, like powertrain issues.
J.D. Power found that, on average, real drivers reported 93
problems in every 100 vehicles. Buick drivers reported fewer overall problems
than the average, with drivers finding only 92 problems in every 100 vehicles.
Notably, Buick saw a large improvement in overall quality
while many competitors didn’t see much of a change in quality. Buick earned the
11th place overall, which is much higher than its 16th placement previously.
We at Curry Auto Center are proud to have Buick vehicles on our lot. Contact us and test-drive one of our many great vehicles and try out their exciting features firsthand.

major, exciting difference between the 2019 Bolt EV and the 2021 Bolt EUV is
the size. The Bolt EUV will have a larger exterior, and as a crossover, it will
feature more passenger room and cargo space than the Bolt EV.
most of what we know about the Bolt EUV is from photographs obtained by Car and
Driver, which display a camouflaged version of the crossover. From what we can
see, the Bolt EUV has slender front headlights and a floating roof design.
are still many unknown details about the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EUV, seeing as it
will be over a year before General Motors is set to discuss their plans for
their new EV crossovers. However, we do know that this particular crossover
shows promise of being a great electric vehicle that coincides with the
initiative of General Motors to produce more zero-emission vehicles.

than previous generations. If you are one of the 64 percent of Hoosiers living
off campus and you’re thinking about a car, it’s safe to say that a gas guzzler
might not be the most economical fit. Luckily, Chevrolet offers a whole lineup
of fantastic, fuel-efficient cars for you to consider.
fuel-efficient Chevy is the all-electric 2019 Bolt, the model which Car and

cabin space, consider the hybrid trim of the 2019 Malibu. This hybrid twist on
a Chevy staple yields 49 mpg in the city and 43 on the highway.** Its acceleration
is smooth for a mid-size sedan thanks to its 277 lb-ft of torque.
Spark offers the most bang for your buck, however. A lively hatchback with a
starting price of just $14,000, this model boasts an advanced infotainment
system. It also achieves a combined 33 mpg, to help reduce greenhouse gases
while saving you at the pump.
Typically, when we think of long-lasting vehicles, we think
of small, compact cars. The GMC Yukon and Yukon XL shatter this assumption,
however. Both vehicles were just recognized in a study featuring models that
lasted for 200,000 miles or more. The Yukon and Yukon XL are the largest SUVs
in the GMC lineup, offering tons of dependable power and capability that last
in the long run.
The study was performed by iSeeCars.com and determined the top 14 longest-lasting vehicles in America. To determine the list, iSeeCars.com evaluated approximately 14 million used cars sold in 2018 that were manufactured between 1981 and 2018. Remarkably, the GMC Yukon XL claimed the fourth spot on the list, and the GMC Yukon came in at number 8. While 4 percent of Yukon XL models surpass 200,000 miles, 2.8 percent of Yukon models do the same.
Such distinction was not reserved for only the GMC Yukon and
Yukon XL. In comparison to all vehicle brands sold in the states, GMC claimed
the third spot in longest-lasting vehicles overall, with 1.4 percent of GMC
models reaching 200,000 miles. Other GM vehicles were also heavily lauded in
the study, with the Chevy Suburban coming in second place and the Tahoe coming
